"Meet The Candidates" Forum Guidelines
1. Doors open at 1:30 pm. Forum begins at 2 pm Saturday, MARCH 2, 2024, and scheduled to end at 4:00pm. Candidates are welcome to meet with residents after the forum.
2. Each candidate will be permitted a one (1) minute introduction of themselves ("Candidate Statement"). Closing statements of (2) minutes permitted.
3. Questions are to be presented on a 3x5 index card. Questions may address one Candidate or entire Panel. (Blank cards will be handed out at Forum).
4. Volunteers will collect the completed cards from attending Members.
5. Questions directed to an individual Candidate, will be held to the end of the program and all Candidates will be given equal time to respond (time permitting. see #2).
6. Due to time limitations, question answers will be limited to a maximum of 2 minutes per Candidate per question.
7. Questions that are similar will be summarized to one general question. Neutral volunteers will evaluate the questions for similarity and will summarize the questions for the moderator.
8. Timekeeper will maintain accurate allotment of response time, with a 30 second warning card and a 10 second time remaining card. Audible timer will be used.
The Forum will be fairly administered by a neutral Emcee. Audience is to maintain a civil dialogue: first infraction is a warning of potential ejection, if continues, Member will be asked to leave. If additional issues arise, the Emcee will terminate the Forum for all. The LCPOA Staff and its Management are a neutral party to any political Community function and should be treated as such.
